VANDANA MEHROTRA – Marathon Runner and a Palava citizen

As a teacher & mother, I always kept busy. This meant never finding any time for myself. Moving to Palava two years ago opened doors to a hidden talent. I loved running and no place was better than Palava to pursue my interest. Initially, I had inhibitions but with encouragement from my neighbours, I participated in marathons. Thankfully, I followed their advice, and there was no looking back.

#PalavaMakesMeMore satisfied as I completed my dream marathon of 21 kms in January 2018. All I can say is, there’s more to come!!

Jennifer Josfina – Badminton Champion and a Palava Resident

I was really worried about my daughter’s health because of her sedentary lifestyle. After we moved to Palava, we encouraged Jennifer to take up a physical activity. She started badminton training at Palava’s KAUSTUBH VIRKAR BADMINTON ACADEMY. And much to our surprise, what started as a health-focused activity resulted in her becoming a district level player, and now a national badminton champion. Inspired by her journey, Andrea, my younger daughter, also started training at the academy. She is now a champion in the U11 GIRLS CATEGORY.

#PalavaMakesMeMore proud as this is where my daughters have started their journey towards a great and successful future.

(As narrated by Jennifer’s mother – Mrs. Josfina)
